I am looking at a couple of Twenty Cent coins, to fill the hole in my 7070. Please give me your thoughts on grade and what would be a good price range for this coin.

Looks like an EF coin, some wear on the wings, and the chest is a bit dinged, face is worn perhaps EF 40

EF45
LIBERTY and shield lines are strong and there is a nice amount of luster on the reverse. One point of concern is that there appears to be some light horizontal wipe marks on the obverse. I would probably want to see this coin in hand before I would purchase it.

Looks EF, there is a substantial rim nick around 2:00 rev. and it looks like the rim was filed to minimize it. Would not look bad in a 7070 if discounted appropriately.

Thank you all for the good input. Had to take a second look. One of my problems is when I see a coin I like or want, I see the good points of that coin. It sometimes takes a second or third look for me to see the negative points. Your input helped me see the coin as it is.

This coin is at $245.00. Which I think it about XF price. I think I will look around to see what else I can get.

I think that's a good choice. It's a pretty nice looking coin - and these can be hard to find in the EF or better range - but I think this coin is priced at the top for the grade. Combined with the questions raised, I think it's wise to pass.

For comparison purposes, I bought a PCGS XF-45 1875-S for my 7070 earlier this year for $265. Took quite a while to find.

Best regards,
Ken
Rest in Peace

Is the seller by chance "fairtraderz", or something to that extent? It kind of looks like their photography. Many of their coins looks somewhat cleaned to me, but I really like the color and luster on the reverse! I'd definitely consider it if I could talk him down in price a bit.
