This must be common just found a 83 with the opposite side with a crack  |

Die cracks are very common on Memorial cent reverses. They are not errors - they are a normal part of die wear and tear. |

The cornices and stair bases are points of inherent weakness in the reverse die, you will see those cracks repeatedly through the years of LMC mintage. I have even seen a few with cracks at all for corners. |

At Coop what scope are you using ? I would like to get one myself instead of straining my eyes to see the errors
I am looking for something I can use with the computer to view them

 Here is an image of the setup I use. Including the lighting. The camera I use on the right eye piece. I adjust the right eye piece to the best image and shoot down it. |
