What exactly is a 1900 O/CC Morgan? Is the "O" Mint mark stamped over the "CC" Mint mark? From the pictures I have seen, which isn't very many, all I can see is the "O". Thanks,

Wornslick,

Visit the VAMWorld site for close-up pictures of the 1900 O/CC. These are very hard to discern from photos, especially on circulated coins. Some are more valuable than others (7, 7A and 9), but all have a premium over straight 1900-O.

Just to expound a bit ... yes the dies are an 'O' mintmark stamped over a 'CC'. The mint at New Orleans got old reverse dies from the Carson City mint and modified them for that production year.

OK, after visiting the VAMWorld website I see what they look like. I would say when I am looking to pick one of these up it might not be a bad idea to look for a certified one.
