I paid 60 dollars for the set. I would have paid more but that's what they wanted. I've seen the mint set with one of the coins upside down but never with a clip or other obvious error. It has always been my belief that mint sets were to be prime examples of the issued coins and were inspected in some way. If this is not unique then I paid too much, but until I see another one like it I have to believe it is unique and worth a substantial premium.

I could be wrong though.

IMO, I believe the set you have is worth more than you paid and would bring a larger premium than "most would believe", I am amazed you found the set.

I also would not consider the "error" a $25 piece, simply because they are , as stated earlier, very scarce, unique is a strong word, but until another is seen that is true.....

I am willing to challenge the doubters, that if you were to place this set, on E-Bay you would be amazed at the final price realized for the set!!!PS, IMO you are not wrong!

I agree with you. I was (originally) going to say it was worth 50 - 100 dollars. I think(my "dare say") on a good day on ebay with a seven day run it would easily surpass 100 dollars. It's the first one I've ever seen.
