Before the humor can begin, did you check for a Close AM?

Yup. It is a wide "normal" coin. If it had been a Close AM, the crap this week would have been long forgotten.

Still looking for my breakout. I usually come across something worth keeping about 3 or 4 times a week, but this week has been brutal in every aspect. I did happen to help talk a friend out of leaving this forum. That is always nice.

Die wear spreads outward like a pakcake. I'm sure you can figure the rest out.

I took a week (almost) off from searching, seeing those big-head Jeff's in my sleep. Trouble is, I've been cut off from my best sources. Even the bank where I have to have a 5 figure balance! Check cashing place was the best, but apparently changed policy and wont order anything. The no.2 spot(my bank) gave me a song & dance about rate increase. Says it cost 2$+ to order each + "OTHER" costs. So, good hunting, days coming when we pay a 5% service charge a box. Their was a reprieve though, a neighbor sold me a bag he's been saving nickles in. A federal reserve bag from '67. Can't wait to get going. The only downside is; the pieces on top are green due to some AAA batteries that found their way into the stash.

They are always worth a nickel. The rest might be gems.

Since they're green, you could put them up on ebay as copper nickels. It's really verdigris! Matt

John said, "There once was a man from Nantucket..."
We had several homes there for about 35 years. My dad bought the first house on an acre in 1968 for $18,000. My mother's father, a Wilmington banker and investor, was furious and appalled.."why would you buy a house on an island?"
My sister sold it for a million in 1997.
At an annual world service conference the moderator would introduce me as the esteemed delegate for the New England Region, Jim S...He is the man from Nantucket!! Most of the USA delegates would roar with laughter. Non-USA delegates? Deer in headlights.
