Hi and thanks for looking. I found this while roll hunting. Is this a double die?

Also I have found a few like this probably nothing but I'm curious as to what causes this

It appear to be a normal coin. I think the lighting is playing trick with you. Try rotating the coin to get different angles of shots. The light is too bright to tell for sure if anything is there. Glare is the enemy of good photos.

Apparently hard light will play tricks through the magnifying glass too.

I've been there and experienced that many years ago. My problem was with an unwanted light from a seperate source. I taped a facial tissue as a curtain and removed the unwanted light. I've used pieces of cardboard, plastic grocery bags or what ever it took to remove the unwanted source.

Your other question - the other coin - that was caused by die wear.
