My local bank has been very good about ordering boxes of coin and accepting them back when I'm done. Today was kind of cool. The teller manager asked if I was interested in any of the uncommon stuff one of her tellers had. I said sure I would take a look at it. I went over to that teller and she pulled out a bin with 181 Eisenhower dollars, 4 rolls of Kennedy halves, a roll of Millard Fillmore dollars and 25 Susan B Anthony dollars. I bought it all on the spot since they already had it counted and I wanted to make it as easy on them as possible to take it. I don't collect dollar coins. Just Kennedys. Is there any reason to keep any of what I mentioned?

Sounds like you have some very thoughtful tellers. You should make them cookies.

Ikes have sold for above face value on ebay so I would not just unload the lot for face as suggested above. http://cgi.ebay.com/Eisenhower-Doll...t_500wt_1083http://cgi.ebay.com/100-1976-BICENT...ht_568wt_991There may be varieties you could search for in the Ike's as well! The rolls of president dollars sell for a slight premium as well. The halves have some non-circulating years and varieties to search for as well. All in all, it depends on how much you want to learn, search, and 'discover' what you may have in your sweat bank score!

for the pres dollars, I'm not sure if its on the fillmores, but on some pres dollars, if the lettering on the edge is missing, well, lets just say it could be worth quite a bit. Depending on the president of course.

The Eisenhower dollar series has has a small fire underneath the pot of water for the last couple of years. the higher grade ones are incredibly expensive and the varieties are getting very warm now. There is going to be a release of a new Eisenhower dollar Book The first one in quite awhile by the Ike Group. Rob Ezerman is in the final stages of editing right now. It will be release at the Aug 10th Boston ANA Convention. I personally feel they are going to take off quite a bit in interest by collectors. But I'm Biased I am an Ike Nut. Terry Below is a link to an auction that took place Last night on E-Bay. ( I Lost Not by much though, maybe next time) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...BUAA:US:1123

Wow...I took a look at that ebay auction in the above post and was so blown away by all the details to look for on the ikes. I think I will have to get educated on these before I just ebay them. What I noticed was that all of them are synchronous by date. Just 71-78 over and over. As if someone was saving sets. I did look them over for quality and nearly all have some scratches but most cannot be seen without a loupe. The Susan B's are all 1979 and between MS63-65. I don't know much about those either so I will have to read up. Thanks for the info. I may have otherwise spent them.
