I have been collecting BU rolls of business strike coins since 2006. I have rolls of all the pennys. I need nickel rolls from 2007-2010 & dimes from 2006-2010. Rolls of the Quarters, Halves, and Dollars are not what I am looking for at this time.

When 2009 started I gave up acquiring the nickels and dimes due to the prices that are still going crazy on ebay. Can anyone point me to a supplier that might have BU rolls of nickels and dimes for a fair price? Is there a good place to find a price guide that would list roll prices from recent years?

I just bought a roll of 2010 P nickels on ebay for about 23 bucks shipped. That is the cheapest price I could find. I figure one of the nickels in the roll will be good enough to put in my set. I'll stash probably half of the better ones and maybe be nice with the extras and make up some kind of contest or giveaway. This will be awhile down the road because I have a lot of summer stuff I do while I can and coins get set to the side somewhat in place of catfishing and swimming. I just bought them about 10 minutes ago so I do not have them yet.

I have to wait for the price to come down from there. I might pay twice face value plus shipping but 11X!! I'd rather buy silver.

Is it odd that a local dealer has no rolls of Lincoln pennies? I mean none.

I would recommend a local source, but not in SE Wisconsin.

I have no dealers near me in lower slower Delaware. Coin shows are once, maybe twice a year and always on weekends when I work. ebay has prices that have not come down far enough yet. I am looking for a reasonably priced online source.

p.s. - yes it seems weird to me that your dealer has no rolls of pennys!

If buying the 2010 isn't crazy enough for me, this morning I broke down and bought the 2009 D roll for 22.50 shipped. I bought my 2009 P nickels last year for about the same. I have not found a single 2009 P or D nickel in change to date. I figure this, since this is my specialty, I might as well save the gas and time and fill those holes and maybe help a few others along the way. Yes, it is way too much to pay but at least I'll have the best of the 40 coins out of the roll in my set and keep it obsessively compulsively complete.
I can't quit now. I have all the proofs and circulation issues and the satin or matte issues from 1938 to date and the top 10 varieties in decent grades. A lot of my nickels are full step and higher than MS66 so the show must go on.

Hey Wheezy, you collect just like I do! I'm hoping this thread will find a better source but I may have to break down soon and get my rolls as you did. In the mean time I would love to offset some of the money you have laid out for a few of your singles. I need the 2009 D nickels, 2010 P & D nickels and dimes, and I think I may need the 2009 D dimes too. I'll have to check on that one. Anyway, please let me know if you want to sell me some when you get them. Thanks!
