I wish this had a "D"! Some russet tone along peripheries. The "blue" on her neck and face is actually russet toning. Why it came out that way in the photo is What do you think?

VERY NICE!! A "D" would surely put groceries on the table for a while. Looks like an easy 63 and maybe higher. I have a great fondness for the key date mercuries. I recently saw a very nice AU 42/41.

Even better FSB!
Hairlines scratches keeps it from going higher than MS 64.

Correction: Picture enlarged several hundred times, and I would say this can be MS 65 FSB.

Is it just me but this coin appears to have wear on the front edge of the wing and the middle band on the fasces?

Light circulation before pulling out, still a strong strike normal for the first year.

Also may have been lightly cleaned a while back, but I can't say from images.

So is it an uncirculated coin with light circulation?

I have graded this Merc AU58.
There is light wear as Jim has pointed out on edge of the wing and very light on the fasces. It is original and uncleaned with full luster.

AU-58 FB. The chatter on the obverse gave it away. It probably would be market graded MS-62 FB though.
Rest in Peace

No, if there is indeed light rub where JimR indicated, this is an AU coin. Probably AU58.
