Wow thats nice. I am not familiar with grading MS examples of this coin but the coin appears to be pretty clean. MS64 or thereabouts

My thought is, "That's beautiful!" I'd give you at least twice face for that. Wow. How has that thing survived out of a slab for so long?

WOW! GREAT details with just a bit of chatter on the upright bars of the shield. The color also makes me think it has been dipped but nicely done, if it was done.

I'll go with an MS-62. Definitely one of the best I've seen of this coin type!

That coin has POP! It may have been dipped, but I wouldn't even care on a coin with that kind of eye appeal. Solid 63 imho! Nice!

There's actually a lot more shine to it than the pictures show.. I'm trying to play around with my camera, but this one has been tough to get a good one (I dont have good back lighting). Here's another version of the same picture, but I dont think it does it justice either.

I very well may be the one who ends up slabbing this one.

There is one scratch, that you can just barely pick up in the photo starting to the left of the number five. It's visible even without a loupe, but it's not very deep.. How much does that really detract from a grade, and would it cause the coin to not receive a grade?

I think the keyword would be distracting to knock it down a lot. I wouldn't say from your photo that it is distracting. It probably keeps it away from MS65 though. I did not notice it when I guessed my grade. It still might make MS64 but now that you mention it, it definitely looks at least MS63 to me.

compared to PCGS photograde, I do not think it will hit 64. Looks like there are too many marks. but 62 seems about right. beautiful example!
