I picked this one up at a local show. It has a couple very small rim nicks but otherwise looks original and pleasing. The price was $375 and the dealer remarked he was going to raise that price if I didn't take it. Isn't it weird that $375 seems like a deal for a common half eagle?

Thoughts on grade?

Looks AU-50 to me. And $375 is an excellent price. Greysheet bid is $395 in AU, and that is before the run in gold this last few days. You did fine at that price!
Rest in Peace

Yes, but if you've got the money to spend, it's still a good price. It was 3 years ago I started collecting these and they could be had for $195 then.

This one looks like an attractive AU50 to me.
