I really wish I would have found this forum months ago. If I did my purchases would have been different. I now have 5 ASEs that I've purchased that were graded by INB, SGS, and HCGS. I've spent the last couple of days just looking through different topics on this forum and have come to reason this is probably not a good thing. A little knowledge beforehand would have helped immensely. But, I guess you're never to old to learn. Now I'm debating what to do with them. I would probably consider it unethical to resell them on e-bay without a clear description and honest opinion.
But anyway, thanks to all for the information contained within. There is an enormous amount of information for seasoned collectors as well as newbies like myself, and I thank all for posting it.

You could always take them to a coin shop and get close to spot price for them. Not sure how much you paid for them but... Do you have any children, grandchildren, siblings, others with birthdays coming up? That is what I did with some of mine before I started working on my NGC set. The rest of them I sold on ebay but they were raw and not graded and I sold them as a set and not individually.

You should be able to get a little bit more than spot for ASEs. If nothing else crack them out and sell them raw on ebay and you'll probably get a decent price for them. Irishraider is right in that kids are really impressed with these things. If you have kids, nephews, nieces or whatever that you buy gifts for on birthdays or holidays you might throw one of those at them and possibly get another coin collector a start. In any case you could just keep them, there probably isn't anything really wrong with them, they just aren't graded properly.

Make sure that if you do spark an interest you give them dire warnings about SGS, HCGS and all the other "alphabet" grading companies out there!

Welcome to our CC family. I'm glad that you have found our community helpful. I would suggest posting large, clear pics of the coins here on the forum in the coin grading section. You can then get opinions of what the actual grade is. You can even post a link to the thread in your auction. We have had members do that before and it definitely shows your buyers that you have nothing to hide.
