Was wondering if anyone wanted to play the grading game? If not, then I'll just tell ya what it graded after a day or so. Looks like Lady Liberty was in a scuffle but came out the winner by the divot on her forehead;-)

Thanks for looking
Ben

I'm not a Peace kinda guy, but I'll guess it went AU53. I couldn't quite get MS out of the hair and eagle's neck, although the eagle's shoulder looks pretty good.

Too bad it isn't a 1928[:0] Provided that is actual wear at the hair line and not strike weakness, it would grade it at AU55. If it is weakness, I would grade it as MS61.

If it was graded by PCI it could be MS70. LOL!

However, I would give it a grade of MS60, maybe a MS61.

Oh, and this probably needs to be in the coin grading practice forum?

My error, can you show me how to link it there or perhaps a moderator can assist me...

Thanks

Susan will probably catch it eventually and take care of it for ya. Meanwhile, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

Hey Ben,

Considering the grading company--hrmm--With all the dings & dangs--No way is it MS, if AU its just barely so, but I believe its even lower--

I'll say AU-55 ish. PCI has some very accurately graded coins, and even some undergraded ones.

Thanks for the guess's. The coin was graded "by PCI" as MS-62, I paid XF money ($55) for it and have sent it to my brother for an AU-53ish 1899-P Morgan. He has several of them and well,... what are brothers for? :-)

Take Care
Ben
