I happen to like the fact that we Hoosiers don't do Daylight Savings time! We're different and we like it that way! Although "My Man Mitch" is trying to get it pushed through, again... I don't have to change any clocks, just the program on my VCR. Rachel [:p]

Brace yourself Kyra as daylight savings time is ALL but a done deal and we Hoosiers will join the rest of the country in early June! Now only Arizona will be stationary all the time! Our man MITCH is taking care of us, isn't he?

Yeah, those of us in Arizona don't have to change clocks, but we have to remember we change time zones! We're now no longer on Mountain Time; rather, we're on Pacific Savings Time.

My fellow Hoosiers, I posted this notice because where I live in Indiana we do change our clocks! If I understand the situation as is it currently exists 8 counties already do DST in Indiana. The holdouts quite logically are in the part of the state that is in the Eastern Time Zone.(Part of Northwest Indiana is in the Cental Time Zone) Our man Mitch any many before him have gone down this road before! I wish they would change to DST and just leave it alone. Were you folks aware that some of your fellow Hoosiers were on DST? Mike Here is a link that explains it all... http://www.worldtimezone.com/time-us12.html The gap below is my imitation of the area left in front of Jefferson's face on the new nickel!!!! Play Ball!!!!!

Yes, we are aware there were problems in a couple of areas of the state! Can't believe you folks actually aspired to be normal instead of like us back country folks! Actually just joking as we used to switch our clocks years ago but apparently it became such a huge amount of WORK setting and re-setting the clocks that is became less stressful NOT to do it? I can't even remember when we quit but of course I can't remember when the last pony express rider went through here either!

Terry; That is probably because the Pony Express never ran through Indiana. It operated between the dates of April 3, 1860 and October 24, 1861. They rode between St. Joseph Mo and Sacramento, Ca. That would involve the states of Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and California. The entire trip between these points took as little as 10 1/2 days. The Good Old Days

Dan, In another post someone implied you were getting up there in years! (It may have been you!) Now Dan, calling the pony express years the "good old days" is a stretch, even for someone of your great maturity. Anyway, I’ll bet your glad you didn't invest in that endeavor! LOL We took a trip out west and visited some of the trail. Tiny little monuments and not much else! Remember; never regret getting old. It is a privilege denied to many! Mike

Well that explains why they never picked up my mail!!! Didn't get any either but didn't mind that as it would have probably been bills even back then!

Mike; The only ones that would have said I was old would have been one of the young whippersnappers we have on the forum like catman. Got to keep an eye on that one! As for saying "the good old days" the simple truth is IT WAS. Don't believe they had $2.25+ gasoline or all the fuss and turbulations we are having over seas. Gosh no I don't worry about getting old, the only draw back I can see is they won't let me do everything I want to do anymore. Collecting coins is about as exciting as it gets around here anymore. Take care Old Dan

I did know about the "problem children" in parts of the state that insist on DST. Pbbbbbth..... Anyways, back in high school I had a friend that was from North Carolina, and he was always late for school. One day we asked him why, and his answer still makes me laugh. He said, "God only knows what time it is in Indiana anyways!" Rachel [:p]
