I was in town today just goofing off, was kinda bored. I spotted the newest pawn shop that opened up a months ago and decided to go in and see what wares they had to offer. I walked around the shop for a few and then asked the owner if he had any old coin. "Sure I do would you like to see them"? Of course I said yes, so he went to the office and came back with an old cookie tin and dumped it out on the counter. He had some 2003 halves, assorted copper cents including wheat's. A few common date and worn Peace dollars, dateless buffs and these little beauties that I acquired. I pulled all this to the side and asked how much. I almost had a heart attack when he asked me if I could go $50. I was speechless for a moment, then I kinda looked at him said yeah I guess I give $50 for them. He obviously didn't give much at all for the entire lot.

Looks like you did just fine on that buy. Only once in a blue moon do you hear of someone actually getting a good deal at a pawn shop.

That is really super kick Circumventing the word filter is unacceptable, way to go. Now I'll look at pawn shops, of which there are many in my town with a different eye! Cool!

This guy is new in town but not to the business. I asked if collected but he said no he just buys and sells to and from people like me who comes in and asks. The other pawn shops in town are ridiculous on their stuff, but then again they keep it on display in glass cases and in old cookie tins. I will be visiting him quite often I think.

Wish I could find a pawn shop like this in my town. The guy where I live offers six times face on junk silver and sells it for fifteen times face. I asked to look through his Mercury dimes to fill holes in my folder and he refused. Apparently it was too much trouble to pull them out of the safe in the back.
