Hi everyone,
I tried my best, but could not come up with an answer to this one.

I have this coin dated 1794.
the inscription on the reverse reads:
FEND.I.M.I.D.G.PAR. IL. VAST. D. 1794 and a coat of arms in the middle with the letters D and G on either side

on the obverse it reads:
S. THOMAS APOST.PAR.PROT with S. Thomas (?) in the middle and SOLDI XX underneath.

thanks with you help
paul

Hello, and welcome to the forum!
You pretty much got it. It is 20 soldi (= 1 lira) from Parma made of billon (some silver, but mostly base metal).
The town of Parma was a papal possession from 1512 to 1545, and was seized by France in 1796. It was annexed to Sardinia in 1960.
I tried to find an example on the web but failed.
