"them being Shields doesn't mean they don't belong with the Wheaties and Memorials which are also in the same Dansco Album"
You're right ... I've got the two separate albums ... I really wish I'd just stuck with a single Licoln Cent Album, although that sucker's got to be hefty!

I have been reading this link for a few days .. or more.
But I am not sure I understand the core question.

I think the confusion is, that it depends on which album(s) you have for your Lincoln cents.

Dansco currently has
7100 - Lincoln cents 1909 to date (wheat/memorial, no proofs)
7102 - Lincoln cents 1959 to date (memorial cents, no proofs)
7103 - Lincoln cents 1909 to 1958 (wheat cents, P/D/S)
8100 - Lincoln cents 1909 to date (wheat/memorial with proof only issues)
8102 - Lincoln cents 1959 to date (memorial cents with proof)

My 8100 (like eagelfoot) has dated slots to 2016. I will continue to fill those holes with shield
cents.

I think that by 2016 dansco will come out with two new albums (my guess will be 7104 and 8104)
If my guess is right, they might go like this.
7104 - Shield cents 2010 to date. (no proofs)
8104 - Shield cents 2010 to date (with proof only issues)

Also what might happen. They might come out with a new page that will end the 7100/8100 at 2009.
Or that page my just reflect that in 2010, the cents changed to shield cents.

Also in the new albums they may or may not include business/satin/proof type coins.
That we will just have to see.

Dansco contacted me back (please see my previous posts in this thread)...
They liked the idea you guys gave me about a 20 hole page soley for 2009.
They said that they are currently studying what to do with the cents books
and want the input. So it sounds like they are right smack in the middle
of making these decisions as we speak.

Again, see my previous posts to see my suggestions sent. They may or may not
differ from your thoughts on the subject.

Goldrush,
Good to talk to you.
Maybe I'll see you around town.
I am going on to greener digital pastures, at least for a while.
