RE Colorized Silver Eagles

Are these colorized from the mint or a private mint modification?

Do they have less of a premium value because of the color?

Not US mint, and many people prefer their eagles natural. There is no premium for them.

First my personal opinion on colorized ASEs is YUK! Sorry for my personal opinion.

A colorized ASE makes it worth about the same as a common silver round. If you like them for the look, then by all means enjoy them. If for bullion, then DO NOT pay premium. For certified ASEs, most of the time you are just paying for the plastic case. This comes from experience in working with coin dealers.

If you are looking for some bargains go to a show and your local dealers and enjoy the hunt.

The US Mint does not do any colorization but many world mints do create them for collectors

Ditto, don't waste your money in the US. At some point, they might carry a premium but not now. Caveat Emptor!
