Pretty sure this is the real deal and not PMD. The rim is distorted and weak directly opposite of the site of the clip. In kinda makes edge under the FS initials look kinda pointed, but it's an optical illusion. Sorry for the poor pics, but let me know what you guys think!

Looks like the real deal. Can you get a better shot of the devices near the reverse incomplete planchet area? It looks like the devices fad toward that area, which they should.

I see the Blakesley affect on the EPU on S-U.

how do you give a good diagnostic on clipped planchet to tell a real one from a PMD one?

Note the area of the clip on both sides. Notice how the rim/devices fade in that area. On a PMD one the devices would be strong right up to the point where they clipped on part of the coin. This one looks just the way you would expect a real incomplete planchet should look.

You can also look for the Blakesley Effect- notable weakness on the rim opposite the clip. The weakness occurs during the rim upsetting process which works on oppositional force. The coin is force spun through an upsetting mill which applies force to two sides of the planchet and forms the initial proto-rim. If part of the planchet is missing, there is not enough opposing force to completely upset the rim on the opposite side. The Blakesley Effect is not always present, especially on small clips, but it is another way to confirm a genuine incomplete(clipped) planchet error.

I actually pulled it out of a roll. When my camera battery recharges, I'll see if I can get a few nicer shots.

I got another one out of a roll two weeks ago that I'm pretty certain is PMD done with a file which is why I was surprised to find one that looked real so soon after.

Here's the edge shot (kinda blurry but you can still see how thin the edge is opposite the clip):
