My wife picked this up for my birthday since it was one of my holes in my 7070. Really happy to get a nice example with the "WE" intact. Give me your thoughs on the grade. Sorry if the pics are not the best, I am still learning this photography thing...

I'd go EF45 on this one but I'd have to see better pictures to be able to comment on the originality of the surfaces.

I played a little with the images.. Is this closer to reality?
If so Would go somewhere between VF35 and EF40 details
Cleaned and slight corrosion.

nohope587, those do look better. Thanks for your input. So you think this might have been a dug coin which was cleaned?

I am guessing its a dug coin. Would need better pictures or it in hand to be sure. Either way any time you find a 2 C with a full wee its a good thing. They were heavily used and most survivors are lower grade examples. I would say close to 70% of my collection is below F

Nice EF-40 with some corrosion but great detail.
You're right, there are not too many with nice "WE's"!

I agree with trdhrdr007's EF45 grade. This piece has a lot of meat on it!

AU 50 with a need for better pics. I see what might be the corrosion, but it's hard to tell. You need to be congratulated on the fact that your wife knew to buy you such a gift. Woo hoo! She done good!!

Guys look at the D it has a full serif which means this coin is from fairly early in the production run. Strike Should be proportionally better than the later coins.
I am fairly certain it would not make 45 or 50.
