Does anyone know if I can ship the graded coins to China? Which shipping company or shipping method should I choose? It is not large quantity. About 6 coins. Thanks!

Some one else may chime in with more info, but my understanding is that most graded coins bought for shipment to china are bought to be used as patterns for more counterfeits. That being so, my recommendation is do not ship graded coins to china, period.

Well put jdfindring! That's why they want them. I believe they call that aiding and abetting.

Please don't assume.. some people have family there. Please see this topic: https://goccf.com/t/66216&whichpage=1sbvtkle, you might want to get your father-in-law to check local restrictions regarding mailing to there - but didn't he send them to you to begin with? If so, sending them back should be fine and work the same. You can use the US Postal Service - they have First Class International, Priority and Overnight, just like within the US.

Thanks! I read somewhere that there some restriction sending graded coins from US to China. The US laws are different. When he sends coins to me, I have no problem receiving them. I plan to send coins back to them so he can look at his collection.

I would always use some form of tracking and insurance - I've had two lots go missing to china via standard airmail. Unless they are low enough value, it's not worth the risk

I went to post office, they say they can not ship coins. It is restricted so I shipped by telling them it's art/craft.

My apologies for two reasons, I haven't been watching this post and Xshift is absolutely correct. However, the person desiring the knowledge should probably clarify the reason; eg...can't find it on the Internet, found a coin my Dad would love to see, etc... Sometimes it's what we don't say rather than what we say which makes our intentions suspect. Once again, my apologies sbvtkle.

Sometimes the postal workers can't see the distinction between the rule that doesn't allow the mailing of money and the one that says you CAN mail collectible coins and currency. Although there may actually be Chinese regulations that forbid the mailing of coins or paper money that may be causing the problem. But most workers aren't usually going to know all the regulations for all the different countries without actually looking them up.

My father in law did receive his coins already. He said they opened the box of the coins but still let the shipping go through. I guess I won't risk to ship again. I will bring them to him by myself next time.
