Looks like Die Deterioration, Machine Doubling, post mint damage and perhaps the rim separating a little. Whadda you think?

Wow there is a lot going on on that nickel! I agree with all the comments above, and will just add that the die was probably in a very late stage What is that near the 'LLO' of Monticello? Can't tell from the pics.
