I didn't get anything from you so I can't look for it but if the people who did get stuff are like me, half of my packaging gets recycled. Maybe they didn't even look for anything else in the package, and on the other hand, maybe it got thrown away. I would bet most people here would let you know that they got something extra, maybe they would even thank you for the bonus they thought it was, but unless you hear something, I would bet it was thrown away or is still sitting on someone's desk in the box or envelope. People on here have been so nice to me now and then that there is something extra in the package. Sometimes coins just show up for no reason at all except they are being nice to me. When that happens I always say thanks and usually post something in the family section too.

This might seem weird, but I once lost a coin and after a day of searching to no avail I googled "how to remember something lost". A self hypnosis site directed me what to do...find a quiet place to lay down and relax take some deep breaths once relaxed close your eyes and imagine walking down 20 stairs counting each step as you go (to yourself not outloud) after you reach the last step you should remember. This may seem crazy but as soon as I did it I remembered exactly where my coin was!

Bad news ..... here is to hoping it went to an honest person.
Hopefully your experience is like this ...... I returned an e-bay coin once (not satisfied) and the seller sent me a check for $630 (the entire 4 coin lot) .... when all I was owed was $231 (the coin in question).
I wrote 'Void" across the face of the check and sent it back with a letter explaining their mistake ...... the seller would most likely never have known their honest mistake had I cashed that baby.
Anyways ..... hoping for you the coin went to somebody with similar ethics.

Sorry to hear about your troubles Shawdow. Can't speak for anyone but me but if I ordered something from someone and there was another coin besides the one I ordered I would at least e-mail the seller and Thank them for the extra "present". Then you could tell them what happened. Heres hoping a honest person receives the missing coin.

I double checked my email folders and you had sent me some offers in July on draped bust Large Cents and sent me to Shawn Y. but I didn't buy anything from you since 2009. Wish you the best of luck. If somebody has it and reads this, I sure hope they would send it back to you.

Quote: I carelessly had left this coin in and probably shipped it with one of the lots. Sounds to me like there may be possibilities other than error in sending to honest or dishonest buyers. Check down inside your couch, your pockets again, your kid's room, your kid's friends, your dog's mouth, your trash, your local pawn shops, etc, etc.

Well you can keep an eye on your feedback and look for something like: "A+++++ Great ebay seller, included VERY generous gift, thanks sooo much, can't wait to do business with him again" Sorry to hear about your mistake, but good luck getting it back!

I think you have a decent chance of getting it back, even without a bounty on it. Most people are good people and not thieves. Just send a note along stating that you goofed and you'd be thrilled if they could send it back and you'll be more than happy to reimburse shipping and maybe a bit more for their time. If you offer a bounty, only the more unscrupulous of the buyers (I think) would take it (I know I wouldn't) and if they would consider taking it then they'd likely just consider keeping the coin.

Well, my Merc dime from you came today, but it was in a business size envelope, not a padded one, and no unexpected bonus coin.

Best of luck and I hope you get your coin back. I have a good feeling you will. I know I would contact you and let you know an extra showed up. There are still good people out there.

Since we have turned the place upside down due to moving, I am 100% sure I didn't just misplace it, and I clearly remember leaving it inside an envelope. So unfortunately I am sure its gone to one of these buyers. I haven't had internet for the last two days either (I'm at the library); its being hooked up on Saturday : (

Next time get a safety deposit box for that month you do the move or get a P.O. box. Thanks for sharing, it's always better to know mistakes than boastful accomplishments.
