I have a number of these. This being one of the strongest.
Am I correct in thinking this is Strike Doubling?

CONECA has 18 different DDR 1964-D Roosevelts listed.

Yours looks like one of them. You should send them all to be looked at by James Wiles of CONECA.

Since the doubling appears to be counterclockwise on the lettering, this may be a FS-802

NGC POP for a 64-D FS-802 is a mere 3 coins.

many Roosevelts that look like Machine Doubling are really DDR coins.

I recently found a 1964-P DDR FS-802 which NGC graded in MS63 condition.

NGC POP 1/0 PCGS POP 2/0

Heres a couple of pics of my 1964 DDR FS-802

Notice the split flame tips too.

This rim lettering is doubled.

I agree with Joey. It's obviously a doubled die.

The first two pictures look like a doubled die to me. I agree with coppercoins and joey. That last two, it's hard to tell. Nice find. You said you had more?

I'm on the fence. The first example (1984) and the example "D" could be class I DDRs as opposed to Machine Doubling, but I sure wish the pics were big enough to see a notch somewhere to be certain. The example C appears to be Machine Doubling.

I would send images, then the coins to Wiles over a any TPG to be certain they are a DDR that NGC slabs.

what's the trick to getting my file sizes small enough to post while still keeping the photos larger?

I have been under the impression that they were all Machine Doubling.

Tagged A another 1964 D both Obv and Rev have doubling

Okay...too many coins here...

the first coin posted is definitely a doubled die, as is the one marked "D".

Both the coin marked "C" and the coin marked "A" are Machine Doubling - no doubt.

There are fundamental differences between the doubled dies and the Machine Doubling. Go back and look at the coins closely and you should be able to immediately spot the differences.

I have printed out the list of 1964-D DDR's for reference.
Too many coins and photos for me also.
I have down loaded Irfanview and am learning to use it.
I'll probably re-shoot and re-edit all of them before posting any more
and then only one at a time to avoid confusing myself and others.
Thanks for the help input information there is always more to learn
