Beautiful!! Only the Swiss (I presume these are Swiss) would put that kind of artistry in their shooting medals. Does any one know if their militia still keeps their weapons when their tour is finished? I know they still have an annual Marksmanship contest and festival.

I love the ones with heraldry on them. My favorite is "July 1890" with a rampant lion on a leash.
The ones with a name stamped on them, I presume it's the name of the shooting contest winner? Don't they present this medal to the winner (and thus it's unique)? Or they issue a number of medals with the winner's name as a souvenir?

we used to have a guy on here with Cc in his nick (cant remember hiw whole nick for some reason right now) that had one of the most impressive medal collections I believe I have ever seen. His coins were also impressive but the medals he had I have never seen before. Every time He would show another medal my mouth would drool and I don't even collect medals. I really like the 6th and 8th one allot and since you have two of each I will go ahead and send you my address..lol
