Just a note to everyone to be careful when you trade with people. On another coin forum, I made a trade with a person. I sent my coins right away. He received them and told me mine were sent express mail. I never received them. He apologized for the problem and said he would resend them if they show back up to him. He said he put the wrong address. They supposedly showed back up and he said he would re-send them right away. Again, no show. This has gone on for about 6 weeks now. I want to post that I got ripped off by the person but I am going to give it a few more days. If I do not hear from him by Saturday, I am going to do some ranting on that forum and I will be heard that is for sure.....SO, be careful. I love to trade and this had not altered that. Just want to pass it on to be careful !

On any forum or on ebay when you read about long delays be very carefull because this usely means the vendor does not have the coins and only plans to get them with the money in hand

I'm glad that our forum is a trusted group! This kind of thing does happen, unfortunately and so far I haven't read where it's happened here - thank goodness! That's not to say it won't but, if it does we all expect to hear about it!

This is why we require so many posts prior to trading. Many other forums require only 10 posts which are easy to come up with without actually contributing to the forum or letting members get to know the person. So far (knock on wood) our trades here have gone very well.

I hope it is just a misunderstanding and bad circumstances and that you will receive your coins without any further delay.

Just some helpful (I hope) advice: Many members are active on many different forums. If you are looking to trade with a relatively new member on one forum, check out the other forums and see if they are active there. This gives you an additional opportunity to get some background and a feel for the person.

LOL, I'm going to save a link to this thread for people that complain that they need 50 posts to do things around here.

Also if there is a problem here Susan and Bobby are very fast at not letting that person trade anymore tell they show they can be trusted. So with a forum mom and dad like we have it make people feel a little safer to trade here. But with that said I still am waiting a package but out of my 6 or 7 trade only one has gone a bad. but I beleave he is still trying to get me my package.

I have been very lucky with my trades so far,I am most comfortable with the members of this forum, there are alot of great people here.I'm sorry for your possible loss, but like Susan said it may just be a misunderstanding. If the person whom you are doing this trade with does not do anything to make this right with you, then you should complain.I'm always so nervous about mailing coins, you always wonder if they don't get there,is the other party thinking your ripping them off?I care about things like that, because I consider myself an honest person. If my package should ever happen to get lost or stolen in the mail, you can bet I'm going to make it right with the other person.I recently sent off a package to a forum member that didn't get there when it was suppose to,because it got delayed, sometimes it happens, but thank the Good Lord it did get there :) sn31.

It's too bad something like this occurs. Us honest folk have a harder time trying to really prove that we're well intentioned and conduct all business as honestly as we ourselves wish to be treated.

I hope it works out. By the way...I like your icon!

Hi Kerry

I absolutely agree with your topic statement--that is in away why I don't trade. I have nothing against personally, but I just don't trade--I sell OR I buy--no in-betweens--Now I coulda told ya that that "other forum" apparently has some "lowlifes"--I don't believe your gonna get squat from this person--S/He has already given you a song-&-dance and that tune will continue--watch--You shoulda traded with somebody on THIS forum--From what I have seen, except for an incident with a YN, ALL trades here have gone off without a hitch AND from what I have read in these threads, BOTH parties were extremely happy with the items-- Sooo, you can go and rant over at that forum about this dude, to at least warn forum members over thar TO NOT TRADE WITH THAT PERSON!--hehe--Most traders BTW are honest people, you just apparently ran into a rotten one--No class what so ever--

It depends on how you get 150 posts. Some people can spam a forum and get those posts in a few days. That post count can be misleading, and works in the favor of the guy who wants to rip you off.

Something similar happened to me on ebay. I bid on and won a 2001W PCGS69 silver eagle proof. I waited five weeks after paying with lots of correspondence and never received the coin. The seller finally did credit my paypal account after repeatedly saying the coin had been sent. My feeling is that $11.14 was less than he was willing to sell for and the coin was never sent. Did get my money back tho.

To tell you the truth Kyra I'm not never trading agian for I always make mistakes and then people get angry and then the stupid post office sends you package and sends it back saying that its to heavy when they could have told you before

So ya I quit on trading until I'm 68

Hmmm, 150 posts eh? That's MUCH more than 50, you should have been safe shouldn't you?

It's like Fengk says, you can spam 10 posts or 50, it doesn't matter where that line is drawn in the sand.

If they've seen these posts and haven't come across with the goods you oughta throw out the name Kerry. I'd make sure it wasn't an honest screw up though, things happen sometimes with the postal service. I know six weeks is a long time but things happen and the difference between being dishonest and being a slackass is pretty big.

Dunno how many trades you've done but don't give up. I've yet to get burnt and trading has been a lot of fun for me. You can really get to know folks a better and IMO it's a good way to get coins you want.

Hang in here, I hope it works out for you yet, Mark
