Hi all,

I have this coin and its rim seems to be discontinued at its obverse just below its "S" mark

at the same area but on the reverse the rim seems to be more rough, as if a part has been detached leaving a rough area...

Is any of these an error?
If yes does it affect the coin value?

Thanks

The coin is damaged. Something hit the rim hard.

Is this the cause of the concavity too?

Yes, it is very likely all a cause of the same incident. Looks like some sort of mashing or crimping tool.
