Add large cents to this list as well. I encountered a fake 1850 just a couple months back. The seller said that he was unaware that it was fake and gave a prompt and full refund.
I concur with mitchhailey...never buy from China. They may have free enterprise market reforms now days but they seem to still have commie ethics.

Hi All
Just look on ebay.

The Chinese have a FULL LINE of coounterfit US coins....

AND even though the sellers say they will come marked with the word copy they do not.

I bought a bunch as hole fillers for my collections for the crazy expensive coins. I then had to buy a punch to mark the coins as they did not come stamped as the seller promised.

The copies are very good can can look circulated or AU. They have copies of EVERY US coin series.

BE VERY CAREFUL OUT THERE!

Hi All, With out sticking together and policing ebay and known sellers we are at the mercy of counterfeit coins. With the prices of silver and gold driving up the prices of of our collect ables we all need to be alert. I have contacted two resellers on ebay that buy and sell coins and claim that they don't know if their coins are counterfeit or not. If they prove to be fakes will refund the purchase price less shipping. One said I only buy and sell it is a business. As a member of the forum said I notified ebay and I see that neither seller is listing coins. My son has a scale and micrometers and weighs and measures each coin he buys. We must be alert and helping one another helps keep our hobby safer.
