Very-Old-Unicorn-Coin---Help-Please?

Yeah. I'm having trouble identifying this coin. (yeah its the same coin; doesn't look like it is since one side is a different colour, but yeah it is) A person I knew found it while digging in the ground. He thinks it's made in gold but I'm not sure. It could be a fake since it doesn't have any recognizable symbols in it, only the animals, but again, I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! (I'm going nuts trying to identify it )

If it's gold, was buried, and has a picture of a legendary animal on it, I think it was put there by a leprechaun! Keep digging, leprechauns bury treasure in pots.

Sorry, couldn't help it, the post was just begging for the reply. As for the item, ?

I'm not exactly sure what it is, but it's not a coin, and it's not made of gold - gold doesn't corrode like that. I suspect it's a brass card-game counter or something like that.

Gold, even if left in the ground for 10,000 years would be as nice and shiny as the day it went subterranean. That is a brass token of some sort.
