Hey all I just wanted some opnions before I shelled out some money for this. Does it look cleaned the obverse does (or are those bag marks). The reverse looks fine to me. Comments...?
Lacking in any signs of toning, yes no doubt cleaned. Just FYI, recently at the 2010 ANA Boston coin auction, this same coin graded ms-64 sold for the following: NGC graded $374.00 PCGS graded $1,035.00 it was the toning that fetched the higher price.
Agree with biokemist - you can see parallel hairline scratches running top right to bottom left - especially above In God We Trust and 1923 on the obverse and in the Northern Atlantic and South Pacific on the reverse.
