my mom sent my this morgan today in the mail. I think its been in her dresser drawer for ever. it has beautiful toning on the reverse.
from what I could tell from researching the coin on VAMWORLD.com, the 'O' has a squiggle line on the right, inner edge. I think I could also find the die gouge on the REV right star. I am not sure if my ear was doubled and the eagle had die scratches on it either... but I do know for sure the 'O' has something inside of it. please help with a grade and possible value please. all help is appreciated!
It appears to have been cleaned and retoned from what I can tell, I may be wrong without the coin in hand. Looks to be AU58 details even though these New Orleans Morgans are plagued by soft strikes.
