I see the photo--looks like an RPM to my eyes.

Sure looks like a pretty good one. If that was on a Lincoln Cent it would not be hard to find a value for it. But being a lowly dime not much info for you. I'm sure there are some folks who would pay a premium for it.

CherryPickers' Guide V.2 ©2006 had this one label FS-10-1941S-501 CONECA RPM 1 Value: EF-40 $8, AU-50 $10. I had seen this on ebay going between average of $8-13 within those conditions.

The die state is earlier than the example posted in a book that I have. Nice find! It would be a great example for an earlier die state image to an image host.

Thank you all for the input. I had bought a handful of these silver dimes from a guy needing money. I think it was 5 dollars worth. Anyhow never looked at them till last night. so I have had it for 3 months and didn't know it. Is there a way to clean a silver coin or is it best to leave it alone? Thanks again.

Leave it alone. Cleaning coins only harms the coins, especially when you don't know exactly what you are doing.

Very cool RPM. Noticing you hosted your picture on Photobucket...here's the extend of my photography tutoring being offered today: I notice your picture is "yellowish", I recently figured out that if you select the "edit" menu in photobucket, that you can adjust the "saturation" setting, and whiten your photo up by sliding it to between -.25 and -.50.
As I said...ask me no other questions on the topic, but I was very happy when I figured out how to get rid of the yellowing.
