Obverse has more wear than the reverse, I'd say NET: VF 35

That's a tuff one, but with the obverse wear, I have to say VF 35 also.

Just a slight rub, the reverse shows little wear. AU-53

I agree with 35, my first instinct was 30 though.

It looks like EF-40 to me.

Nice strong initials on that reverse, and nice separation of cheek and jaw, too. That surface looks a little drab, though. Overall, principally due to that obverse wear, I'd give it a VF-35. If I had it in-hand, and that surface showed any signs of life, I could be persuaded to go EF-40.

XF-40. Sorry Thad, too much on the obverse to get an AU from me even though most of it is weak strike and not wear. Jim

No prob, we can disagree. However, take a good look at the reverse, almost hit free and virtually no signs of wear. The wheat grains and heads show almost no wear. If the coin was heavily circulated down the the EF level, it would have more hits on it. It's a very clean coin in terms of hits. What you're seeing on the obverse is just a slight trace of wear that looks worse than it actually is. The lowest I see this coin is AU-50.
