I have no idea what the average is on these boxes but I felt as if I hit the jackpot!

22 40% halfs

3 Franklinks (1954 BU!!)

6 90% halfs (one bu)

And a 2008 P Au-Bu

Is this normal or extremely rare for one box?
Thanks and happy hunting.

You did great for a box in my opinion. I have never gotten any 90% from one that I can recall. 2 or 3 40% and a couple of proofs is the best I have done searching boxes. I have better luck with customer rolls. If you can keep that up it sure would be nice, especially if you can pull some Frankies every time.

No but seriously that's Very uncommon to find that much in a box.

Congrats and welcome to the forum!

Nice picking. At least you get boxes to go through. My area banks have NEVER had a box(or many rolls for that matter) of halves.

Why couldn't my first box be like that? Or the 1000 I've done since...

But welcome to our humble community!

Thank you everybody for your comments and the welcomings! and to numismo, try ordering from banks in your area. The banks around my place are pretty firm on their rules and so I have to call around. I ordered from a Wachovia bank and I wasn't required to have an account with them either.

i have gone through 2 boxes and come up with nothing. But I have gone through customers rolls and with one roll I found a proof halfs. (some silver proofs some regular) with that roll I found a 1970d. Great luck but now its going to go sour. Your next box will not turn up anything.
