Let me start by saying I am not a collector, so forgive any level of ignorance I may show. That being said I have 3 Web Fed Notes with consecutive serial numbers that I took from a new stack of ones in 1992. They are 1998-A Run 12 FN 5-2 They have never been graded but have never been folded and have been stored in a gun safe for 18 years. Do these have any value?
Thanks

Of course they have value! I cannot get to the website that I am familiar with (blocked), but there are several sites out there with values for web notes. I have collected quite a few over the years (hit a dry spell for the past six), and they are nice to have. Sounds like yours could be some nice ones too! From what I remember, the 88's were the less common ones, and then the 93's and then the 95's being the most common. Here is one website that has some decent info; http://quadrigaancients.com/web/#runtableHere is another; http://www.webpressnotes.com/websearch.htmsuccess!

Welcome and congrats.
Take your time and research the finer points on this particular set of plate numbers, in high grades. Meaning how many are actually graded. Also what are the plate numbers by SN?
oih82w8 - has already provided excellent info. Do NOT rely on published prices for this. Chances are good published prices are wrong/ low.
oih82w8, how does this compare with the web F * from a population perspective? Last I read F* only had a pop of a few notes in high grades.
Take your time with this.

The F-STAR notes are THE KEY to the WEB series (experiment, whatever you want to call it). I have seen a few images of heavily circulated (certified) F-Star Webs and they commanded four figures. There were 640,000 web notes in Series 1988A with serial numbers in the F..* block. Their serial numbers are the last 20,000 of each 100,000 numbers from F 064 00001 * to F 096 00000 *. That is, they bear serial numbers 064 80001 through 065 00000, 065 80001 through 066 00000, and so on to 095 80001 through 096 00000. These notes were actually produced by mistake; the BEP had not intended to use web press notes as replacements. Most of the web star notes were still in the BEP's possession when the error was discovered, and so were destroyed before reaching circulation.http://www.uspapermoney.info/general/webs.htmlI would trade all of my WEBs (about 40 or so)for a decent example of the F-Star. I do not know about certification figures, but the F-Star is extremely rare. The only thing that I could think of more rare is an error note; From a Heritage Auction; http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/5622248

Is there any added desirability because I have 3 consecutive serial numbers?

All depends on the individual collector. To me, no, I am a type collector. I would want one of each major type, one WEB Note for the entire experiment (the F-STAR would be the ultimate for me ). I forgot to mention that those are a nice find! ...and I would send them off for Third Party Grading certification.

There is signicantly more value to your webs since they are consective. I would'nt go by the prices on webpressnotes.com.(way too high) I don't think I've ever seen one sold for the prices they list. What you should do is have them graded and then list them on ebay. You will reach the most people there and get what they are worth. I'd guess they would go from $200 up for the three together and graded.

""The F-STAR notes are THE KEY to the WEB series (experiment, whatever you want to call it). I have seen a few images of heavily circulated (certified) F-Star Webs and they commanded four figures."" That must have been a while ago. A graded VF sold on ebay for $420 last month. There's another on there now for $500 obo. Although he won't accept anything lower then $480, I've tried many times.

The four figure amount for the F-Star is pretty dated, probably based upon the amount of known notes recorded by TPG. I would still like to acquire one, and should probably start looking again. Thanks for the ebay tip!

For some of these items ebay is NOT the venue. Sorry, bvalania $200 seems awfully cheap here. If you are interested in finding the appropriate price, Post the all the FP and BP numbers along with the corresponding SN's and I will "TRY" and get the prices for you from someone who specializes in webs and other exotics. I cannot figure out the plate numbers from your pics.

$150 per note (un graded) should be your "starting" point and move up based on the replies you got over at coin talk (link to that site is not allowed here due to other content on that site - I think). I posted it over on "collector's forum" on your behalf and that's how I found about your other post. As suggested do not touch these notes too much and hopefully these are saved in some high quality currency protectors / sleeves. I still have not heard back from the person I e-mailed on friday. He travels a lot and may not have gotten to e-mail yet. Depending on what you decide to do contact me before any sale as I may be interested in this lot or one of the notes depending on the price. The catch here is that you have to have 50 posts before you can contact someone here at CCF. If and when I find something I will post here and ebay is NOT the place to sell this or any other exotic notes that you have in your gun case. Also, you are going about it the right way in asking a lot of questions. Best to you.
