BU? I suppose he is not thinking of Brilliant Uncirculated, he has just mixed up his acronyms. It is hard to guess the correct one, but it is possible to try:
Barely Usable? Beaten Undignified? Beyond Unrecognizable? Banged & Utilized? BUllsh**?
Anyone with a better guess, please let us know.

Bad & Ugly! Of course, this must be the correct answer. So simple. You have a natural propensity for this kind of thing, my friend.

Definitely not Brilliant Uncirculated but on the bright side, at least it still has some luster remaining unlike those who sell VF coins as BU

is that luster or camera work? It looks cleaned to me.
my guess is similar to others: Beaten Up

Sorry, it was a mistake in copying from previous listings that I could not correct as it was already bid on when pointed out to me, in a less than friendly way, by one of your members in an ebay message. I do try to be correct in all of my listings and this one I messed up on and I probably have on others but mostly I think I get it right on the hundreds of coins I list. I hope that the pictures do the talking and try to provide good pictures so that people can see what they are getting so even if I get the a grade wrong. I do not understand the vitriol and some of the juvenile comments made here but to each their own. No, the coin has not been cleaned up and it does have luster and all of the detail is there with no surface wear but it is a bit Banged Up. Sorry that my grading capabilities (or lack there-of) seem to have offended some of you. I will try to be more careful in future as I hope some of this forums member will be in looking at the big picture and not try to denigrate the efforts of someone who is at least trying to be honest. Mistakes happens.Sorry about offensive message..I can discuss issues here but I never contact sellers.Trouble with ebay is that many sellers overgrade coins go get more interest.I saw it many times or maybe to many. Thanks for honesty and good luck with your bussines.

He did provide very good and detailed pics, so really whatever terminology he used (however right or wrong it was) can be ignored and one can look at the quality photos and make their own judgement. Everybody describes things differently and mistakes in verbage can be made easily, but the photos speak for themselves. There surely are many unscrupulous sellers and ill-informed people on ebay, but it seems like he just made an honest mistake. Although I don't know how "unfriendly" the message was letting him know about the problem, it is too bad it couldn't have been nicely pointed out and maybe the seller would become part of the community instead of being turned off by someone on here.

OK, I'm confused. You say you made a mistake, but you still say the coin is uncirculated?
