Just pulled this one out of the vinigar tonight. May not be able to tell from the pics but it is for sure a 21 S. I believe this is a key date, correct? How wouldyou value this? I've heard around 40%-45% of the G4 value. Is this about right? Thanks for any help!

Not sure on the value, but it looks like a 1921 S to me!

A bit less than that. I retail restored date better date buffalos at about 15% of Good-4 price. Still, that gives you a $7.50 retail item - not a bad find at all!

Definitely a 21S. I think it's worth about $15. 7.50 is low, in my opinion.

I agree 7.50 is low. The 21 is distinct in the picture.

Remember that all the estimates on the value of that coin is only good for just that, an estimate. The only way you would really know the value is to take it to a coin store and pretend to want to sell it. And of course mention you know the Red Book lists a 21S in G4 as $75.

The coin store would probably tell you that it is worthless. They don't want these restored dates to EVER see the light of day. A date-only restoration will fetch between $8.00 and $15.00 on ebay. A fully restored 1921-S, if it has a full horn and no distracting scratches, bumps, bruises or other imperfections, CAN bring up to $50.00, or more. Generally speaking, I get around $30.00-$35.00 for nice looking ones. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...TRK:MESOX:IT
