Can anyone read the dates on these coins?

I have four Japanese coins (1, 5, 10 and 100 yen), a coin from Taiwan (which I presume is 1 yuan), and two Thai coins (whose nominal value I would appreciate knowing).

Thanks for looking.

the last coin is 1 bath from Thainland, krause Y# 74, take care that the obverse side of this coin in Krause should be wrong, since there are no vertical letters on the right of Rama IX head, as in your coins and in the same coin I have, and my coin is in an official "Royal Thai Mint" box.

Okay, from the top (and you were right with the countries),

1. Japan: Y#74: 1 Yen: Year 49 (1974) Unc. 0.75
2. Japan: Y#72a: 5 Yen: Year 49 (1974) XF. 0.10; Unc. 0.75
3. Japan: Y#73a: 10 Yen: Year 64 (1989) XF. 0.20; Unc. 0.50
4. Japan: Y#82: 100 Yen: Year 46 (1971) XF. 1.50; Unc. 2.50
5. Taiwan: Y#536: 1 Yuan: Year 49 (1960) XF. 0.20; Unc. 0.50
6 Thailand: Y#80: 25 Satang: Year 2500 (1957) XF. 0.15; Unc. 0.25
7. Thailand: Y#84: 1 Baht: Year 2505 (1962) XF. 0.15; Unc. 2.00

The two Thai coins were produced over a few years so the date will probably not be the year of issue. And as rosso_rubino pointed out the one pictured in the Krause looks to have a counter-stamp. You're is just fine.
Not a valuable collection but a nice little set of Asian coins and a lesson in the use of different dating systems used in other countries.

#1 and #2 are both from Showa Year 49 (AD 1974).

#3 and #4 are from Showa 46 (1971).

#5 is indeed a 1 yuan (dollar). It's also from "Year 49", but this is in the Republic of China calendar, which converts to AD 1960.

#6 is dated Year 2500 of the Buddhist era, which was AD 1957. However, these coins were struck with this year "frozen" from 1957 right up to 1987.

#7 is indeed a 1 baht, but it's not KM/Y# 74, it's KM/Y# 84. It is dated BE 2505, which converts to 1962, but, as with the 25 satang, it was struck with this frozen date from 1962 until 1982.

Thank you very much rosso, thai, and Sap! You've enabled me to put the finishing touches on an album for my nephew, containing coins collected by my father-in-law. My Schön catalogue worked for everything but these Asian coins, and so I am very grateful to you three for filling in the blanks.
