Thoughts on this one? I'm not very experienced with IHCs.

I posted before, but came back for a second look and wanted to revise my grade. I previously said about AU-55, but now that I'm looking at it again, the wear would seem to indicate EF. I would think EF-40 due to the weakness in the rails and wear on the ribbon and hair.

I would say VF-VF+. If I was buying it I would pass on an EF grade.

I would go a high VF to low EF. But I'm not very good with Indian Heads.

My first impression is AU-55, but everyone else seems to think VF-EF. I just don't know.

I think it's just how strict you are. I first thought about AU-55 too, but then changed my mind after looking more closely at it.

In hand, (I'm not the best photographer) I gave it a AU-50. It does look better than the pictures. Well worth the $1.50 I spent.

I'd say EF-45 to AU-50. There is a little weakness to the edges of the LIBERTY band; this should be sharp to make an AU grade but it could be strike-related.

The reverse looks pretty dark. I don't see any porosity but I'm always a bit concerned about dark gray or black copper. It's often an indication of "environmental damage" (a.k.a. corrosion) which will render a coin ungradable by PCGS or NGC.

Nevertheless, an excellent pickup for just $1.50!
