My wife yesterday got some $100's in change from a friend of ours. He knows little about special notes, although he knows we have a interest in collecting money. He gave my wife a $100 note that was very crisp - except for a slight, and I mean slight, centre fold and honestly nothing else, like its been kept in a book to stay flat. After showing me it I noticed it had a red serial number which caught my attention. I look the serial up in our Rennicks book and to my suprise in my hand is a test note from back in 1996. Serial number AN 96 707 183. Rennicks book has it at $3250 for Unc, aUnc at $1950 and Ef at 1,000. How lucky am I that the missus didnt spend it like she was going to haha.
