I can post individually if you'd like, but I just need a rough estimate of each grade (the 1846 was listed as a small date, but I don't know how to confirm/deny that). I plan on selling these so that I can purchase some stuff that I'm actually collecting. Hopefully I don't regret it down the road...

Side questions if you feel like answering:
Are these coins easier to sell individually or as a group? Any idea what they would roughly bring me? And lastly, is ebay my best bet of selling these bad boys?

Thanks a ton everyone!

Since they really don't form any type of coherent set, I would say sell them individually.

For grades, 1827-G6, and the other 3 I say VG/F. Probably F

For prices, maybe in the neighborhood of $12-$20 each?

The most reliable prices would be recent completed auctions. so check out completed ebay listings etc.

Well that's what I was thinking VG (not reading the specs of large cents) so I am happy to hear that. It's unfortunate that such an old coin does not spark my interest.

Selling these may help me get a semi decent start on Indian Head Pennies, the more common dates of course.

If you can wait a while and build up your post count, you could sell them here in the For Sale forum. No sellers' fees there!

IMO, the 27 is a G, the other 3 are F. The pictures are a little blurry to be certain, but it looks like they all have considerable cord and hair detail, with good wreath detail on the rev.

As far as selling individually or as a group, assuming you're doing ebay it's kind of a tossup. Buyers will factor shipping into their decisions, and PayPal hits you with the 30 cent per item fee, so, while individually is generally the best bet, you might not do any better on net than selling them together. But it's hard to say, there is just so much randomness on ebay from day to day and lot to lot.

My guess is that you should get $17-20 each for the 3 later coins, less fees of course, maybe $15 for the 27?

The 1846 does look like a small date, but in this grade, there doesn't seem to be any difference in pricing between the date variants.

Thanks for the input guys. I do appreciate it. I'm only 25 and learning a ton about coin collecting (really starting to like it too!). I found a local coin club and I'm going to auction them off sometime soon.
