Hello,
We are new to the community and wanted to let you know about us. We are a penny auction site that sells many great items including coins.
We have several coins ending soon. So come check them out.
If you have any requests of types of coins to list on the site please post a reply on this thread.
We hope to be a great resource for your coin buying.

We've been labelling SPAMMERS for a while now; you just usually don't see most of them because their threads are deleted straight away. Looks like Admin's nailed this one to the wall as a warning to others.  Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

I really, really hate forum spammers. I moderate a stock forum and we were manually deleting about 100-200 posts/day and banning the culprits. We recently installed a new security system to more tightly screen member appicants and it's working very well. Get this....it is rejecting almost 100 spammer membership requests per day!  We're down to just a handful of spammer posts per day now. However, these guys are ultra persistent, I think they have millions of people recruited to spam forums everyday, 24/7. 90% of forum spam is automated. The spammers a have script for each forum software and sometimes even specific versions of the software. Searching the internet for software matches, "member" registration, and posting is all done by the script. We have measures in place to stop 100% of that 90%. The remaining 10% is manually done and we have measures in place to stop about 90% of that. Even with all that automatic prevention we remove spam every single day. Thanks to your help using the report button, some automated "flags" that I get when certain "spamlike" events happen, and the incredible Staff here, most spam here has an average lifespan of about 3 minutes. |

I think the moderators on this non-profit site (and on other 'hobby' sites) do a terrific job of protecting us from them.
It really should be up to the individual to find commercial sites as and when he or she wants, so (and who says vigilantism is all bad) keep up the good work.
