Hi all,
I am looking for Spink's Standard Catalogue of GB coins 41st edition. Does anyone have a spare copy they want to sell. Please give us a rough price including postage to Sydney, Australia.

Great looking avitar Eric. I don't have the foggiest notion as to where to obtain one of the Spink's Catalogues, but I'm sure one of the Aussie members will be able to direct you to one with ease.

Good to see another aussie posting, and welcome aboard Eric!

Scoutjim99,it was Seaby's that went out of business.Spink's is one of the largest numismatic dealers in London. They are surely giving Coincraft a run for their money.

Here's a couple of links; https://www.spink.com & https://www.coincraft.com .

They have one for 20 pounds over on the Spink website. Doesn't include shipping to Australia though.

Great links, Aidan.

Unfortunately, Coincraft haven't made an updated British catalogue for quite a few years, now (I notice there isn't one listed on their website). As I heard it, the prices in the last one were considered over-optimistic, so they're only now being considered a reliable guide.

Scoutjim, the Krauses cover Great Britain adequately enough for the period, but if you want information on the pre-1601 "English hammered" series, you need one of the British books.

Sap,too right! I wish that Coincraft would put out a new edition of their books especially the pink one that lists coins from Scotland,Ireland,& the islands. There's a lot of new stuff that could be listed in a new book such as the 1988 Irish 1p. & 2p. coins in both copper-plated steel & bronze,& the Irish Euro coins.
