Is there any easy way to identify the difference between the "W" mm Un circulated Burnished VS Proof ASE's?

Also am I correct in that this only took place in 06, 07 and 08?

Thanks

yes the proofs are shiny like a proof and the W burnished are like the uncirculated version you get for bullion but they have a W Mint Mark. Or you could say The Proof version will have a cameo portrait on mirror fields the other wont. I think The Burnished was only minted in 07 and 08 wasn't any in 09 and aren't going to be any in 2010 either from the way it looks. there will be a proof this year though

I agree with Bryan1315

except:

I do think the burnished ASE's started in 2006, with the one in the 20th anniversary set.

OK that's right, I forgot the 20th anniversary sets. I don't know how since I bought 20 sets of them when they were on sale (there was a 10 set limit per customer but I used my aunts address and stuff for the other 10) I was thinking about how many US Mint Annual Uncirculated Dollar coin sets I have and they started in 2007 and was thinking they made these with the first year of issue and forgot all about the 20th anniversary sets for some reason. Thanks for reminding me

WOW .. that is so cool that you ordered 20 of those sets ...

I always kick myself for only buying one set ... I even told several of my friends to order ... and did not think about getting extra sets.

I gave a bunch out for Christmas presents, it turned out pretty good, I spent 100 bucks and the gift they received was worth 300 so I came out looking like I spent a bundle when in fact I didn't
