I just got a roll of mint wrapped Colorado-P State Quarters and a roll of uncirculated West Virginia State Quarters from a bank, they said that the jeweler turned a bunch of them in, unfortunately that was all they had left.

I did a box of quarters today. Same results as the one a couple of weeks ago. 3 rolls worth of ATB and no silver. I did find a proof clad Maine State Quarter and the nicest 1965 quarter I have seen in circualtion yet.

I was at a laundromat and I noticed a machine that could break dollar coins into quarters. So I put a dollar coin in the machine and it broke it into four quarters. One of them turned out to be a 1952-D Washington. This is my first silver quarter find in circulation in over three years, so it's awesome to find one, especially from a change machine.

That's a funny coincidence, because my silver quarter at work a few weeks ago was also a 1952-D! What kind of coindition was the quarter you found in?
(And I was going to correct "coindition" but I guess my brain is hard wired to type that, and it makes a funny pun!)

It's very circulated; there are no curls in Washington's hair anymore and the rims on the edges of the coin are flat. Furthermore, there are no reeds on the edge, as they have worn away.

@JackJeckel. What are your silver quarter avarages for box searching? I have thought about buying bags of quarters in my area. The tellers say that no one buys quarter bags from them but they buy half, dime, nickel, and penny bags often.

After focusing on cents, I got a box of quarters (they were out of cents). I got a 1994 S proof :D

Love the proof finds. I assume it was clad. If it were silver you would have shouted it, right?

In the last 2 or 2 years I had only done 4 boxes of quarters and found 2 silvers. In the last couple of months I have done 3 or 4 boxes and no silver.

I picked up a box of quarters as I knew I would have some extra hunting time this weekend because of the holiday. Pretty much the same results as the last few boxes recently. No silver and 3 to 4 rolls worth if national parks. I did find a nice 1983 proof that was hazed so I gave it quick wipe with my t shirt since it was impaired already which I think most of the scratches came from and a couple of nicer pre State Quarters and a decent Bicentennial.

I picked up a box of quarters today and it was a skunk...sort of. 50 rolls of shiny Saratoga-D. I'll definitely break a roll to fill my various albums. Might even keep one roll. The rest will get dumped pretty quickly (i.e., Monday) since that's a lot of cash to tie up especially at Christmastime. I thought briefly about listing them on ebay but it's just not worth my time and the fees.
