I sometimes stop by the local shop and sort through the the junk Roosevelts because I can put together a complete set of silver Roosies that are in AU or better at junk silver prices.

Well, today, their sell price was $17.50 x melt when at current spot price ($24.75) a dime is worth $1.79 in silver.

I was able to find everything except a 1950-S and a 1955-S.

(Then I bought a 1931-S Buffalo nickel for $14.)

Oops -- looks like I picked up 2 1959-Ds and no 1959. So I've got 3 holes in a brand-new set of silver Roosevelt dimes for slightly less than melt :)

These guys usually don't. In fact, they normally update their board when I walk to the counter. Something was up with it being the weekend and some other factor I didn't grasp. They were bragging to folks buying bullion today that their prices were below melt.

I find a lot of the members here on CCF post to the sell section and price their coins at or below melt or at a reasonable premium, when I shop for my coin needs I try here first. It seems on CCF every body helps every body. That is what I like!

I love my coin shop! Went in Fri. and pulled all the franklin halfs that he had marked at $7 and took them to the counter and he discounted them another 50 cents each. Today I bought a bunch of silver quarters at 14X face and they where all proofs.
