Pretty sure, but what? Looks like metal or wire. Bought as a lot of 15 common wheats. There are no scrape marks, just an indent.

Could be a delamination as well but sure does look like the imprint of something. It is larger than a wire or lint and too well shaped for grease but sure looks like a cylinder. It could also be a gouge that happened when the coin was new, PMD from long ago.

PMD is always a factor when considering one of these. It does appear to be struck through debris of some kind.

Does look like a Strike Through but could be PMD. Hows the reverse look? Sign of a hit?
