nevermind, just saw it is being sold by one of the few reputable sellers in error coins!

A piece of silver fragment was struck into the planchet.
Quality control has sure improved since then but this would not be caught by the riddler.

That's a nice one!

Here is an IHC of mine I still believe is struck through some sort of metal rolled into the stock. I have not confirmed yet. I plan on showing it to a couple major error dealers at the next Long Beach show to see what their take is.
