http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...TRK:MEWNX:ITI rescently bought this, just to see plus the guy has 100% feeback and 3 day return policy so cant really loose. This is one of the dollars I dont have in my collection so I took a little gamble and hopefully it will pay off. When it arrives I'm going to weigh it and we will see. Any input would be appricated

If the seller claims that it "might" be a reproduction, you can take it to the bank that it is.... Who knows though, it might be that one instance where the seller thought it was fake but it turned out to be real. One can always hope!

he also claims its silver which if its fake I really doubt ( it could be but I still doubt it). just because it doesn't stick to a magnet doesn't mean its silver

Yeah, and "I'm from the IRS and I'm here to help you." I'd never believe THAT either.

It also has a rotated reverse...but he is selling as a reproduction so I'd bet he balks at a return based on it being fake. However,a 3 day return policy is just that. You will be out shipping charges both ways.

Measure/weigh the coin when you get it. If it's silver, it should measure and weigh the same as the real thing, even if it's not. If it's a non-magnetic base material, either the weight or the size should be wrong.
That won't tell you it's real, but at least that it's made of silver. And while it's listed as a replica, which gives you no grounds for return if it's not real, the seller made a specific claim to it being silver, which should give you recourse there if it's not.

Thats exactly what I'm doing when it arrives and I will even test it if its silver. Even if I loose 5 bucks not so bad, gotta gamble sometime or life wont be fun

There is a guy in China that sells "copy" coins. He states that they are made of white copper, what ever that is, and you have a choice on whether or not you want it to be stamped "copy" or not. They go for around $1.50 - $2.00 U.S.

Terrible photo of the ... coin. He also gets an "F" for me for his (lack of) use of punctuation in his vague description.

I like to take chances occasionally. I usually lose (time, energy, shipping), sometimes I win. I wish you luck!
