Some may remember when I posted I got about $250.00 in cents from my daughter. Her father-in-law passed away. Well I finally sorted all the cents by rolls of years. BUT
The 1983 through 1989 cents I was going to keep just one roll of each and take the rest to the bank.

BUT do not know should I keep these probably around $ 60.00 of these years most look like the picture here allot have the famous spots. The more I think maybe I should roll more as allot of these look like perfect except for some spots what do you think?

Coin machine to Bank them or keep them?

Here is a link to a picture they are all like this 1983 thro 1989

I'd certainly keep a roll or two of the best ones from each year. Nice zincs are getting harder to find. As I go through my boxes of cents, I keep the nicest copper & zinc ones in their own plastic tubes. They don't take up a lot of space an they just may triple (or more) in value at some point.

I'm hanging on to every one I find in that condition. The way I see it, each one I keep only costs me $.01, and they don't take up that much storage space.

D-mint zincs from 83 to 88...91 and 93.

I recently read a post here but forget who posted it that said high condition rolls from the 80's would be worth $100 per roll 50 years from now. I can believe that because it's hard to find "clean" cents from those years,no spots or plating issues. So I say keep the nice ones for the future.

Keep the good ones, then give away the lesser condition ones. But I'd search all of them for errors/die varieties.

I can testify based on my last 2 boxes that the zincs do not do well. Yours look pretty good. Hadn't really thought about keeping any zincs as the more I keep the less I have to trade back in for copper searching. If what John1 reported is even half right it might be worth while.

I USED to have a lot of rolls of those too. Then one day I said to myself, SELF, what are you doing? It will take a hundred years for those to be worth the time, space, trouble of keeping those. And then there is the possible interest from a silly bank account lost due ot keeping those. I took almost all of them to a bank and glad I did. I don't miss them and I am not a hoarder of metal so gone, gone, gone.

I would take the time to go through the lot and pick out the really really high quality ones and save them (or sell/trade them here on CCF). As someone who has been upgrading my Memorial set, I can tell you that getting high grade Zincolns is a real challenge. I've bought some of these myself; there's a market for the really high grade ones in the $1-3 a piece range in my opinion.

Anything but the very best I would throw back into circulation.

Ken
